The Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies heard and discussed the Report on a foreign study trip on the program of a double diploma (September 15, 2017-31.01.2018) at the Russian State Humanitarian University in Moscow (Russian Federation) by undergraduate 2 courses of Zhunisbaeva Aida.
The Department of World History, Historiography and Source Studies conducted a scientific and educational training for employees of the Orenburg State Pedagogical University, Professor S.V. Lyubichankovsky and associate professor T.I.Tugay at the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology of al-Farabi Kazakh National University on "Problems of studying and teaching the history of the 1917 revolution on the national borders of the Russian Empire"
On February 2, the responsible for the vocational guidance work of the faculty together with the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology organized an online conference with pupils of the 10th-11th form of general education schools in Kazakhstan.
For the development of skills in the al-Farabi KazNU from the Mangystau region came the teachers of history. Teachers not only received advanced training courses, but also received detailed information about the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, as well as an excursion to the three museums of the faculty.
Al-Farabi Kazakh national University held a competition among students of 1 course "Talents of 1 course 2018". The competition had several nominations, in which the participants showed their abilities and talents. First-year students of the specialty "Archival studies and documenttion" Kakimov Bauyrzhan and Ibusheva Aizhan were awarded the Grand Prix diploma in the nomination "Acting technique".

Educational event "Heart beats about independence" with students of the SIS-141 group of the physico-technical faculty of KazNU named after al-Farabi dedicated to the 26th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The event is devoted to the Independence of Kazakhstan. The purpose of the event is the education of patriotism, love for the Motherland. Students told about the history of Independence and the achievements of Kazakhstan. A quiz was held on the knowledge of history, symbols, holidays and significant dates of their homeland.
On the program “100 books” a Round table was held with the participation of first-year students of historical faculty.
