On October 30, 2023, the Faculty of International Relations hosted a meeting of the Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Almaty, Jozef Tymanowski, with students of the Faculty. Jozef Tymanowski gave a lecture to the students on the topic "The role and importance of Poland in Europe".

As part of his speech, Mr. Consul spoke about Poland's place in the European Union, about the possibilities of the Polish state within the Union, the need for democratic transformations, the formation of a sustainable civil society.

The meeting was held in the format of a dialogue. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, the teaching staff of the Department of International Relations and World Economy, Kazakh and foreign students, undergraduates and doctoral students of the Faculty of International Relations.

At the end of the lecture, students with interest asked questions about the attitude and perception in Poland to the transformations in Kazakhstan, about the Visegrad Four as an instrument of Poland's foreign policy, about democratic processes in the world, etc.

In general, the meeting was held at a high professional level.
