On February 14, 2024, the second meeting of the city scientific seminar “Modern problems of Applied and Computational Mathematics” was held at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

At the second meeting of the scientific seminar Professor of Mathematical and Computer Modeling, Ph.D., Professor Abdibekov U.S. made a presentation on “Averaged Navier-Stokes equations and its applications".

The report presented the results of a study on the averaged Navier-Stokes equation and its applications. A mathematical model of mesoscale processes in the atmosphere. Dynamics of pollution of the earth's surface by stationary sources in the Aktau city area. Pollution of the water surface as a result of the activities of oil companies. Simulation results of the Northern Aral Sea.

The seminar was attended by teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics.
