RAS academicians Askar Akaev and Robert Nigmatulin met with KazNU scientists

     A meeting was held at KazNU with an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, chief researcher at the Institute for Mathematical Research of Complex Systems at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov Askar Akaev and academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Robert Nigmatulin with scientists, teachers and students of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

                          

     Famous scientists take part in the 1st international scientific conference “New path to economic decarbonization (KZGT-2023)”. The honored guests were given a tour of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics and shown the liquid and gas laboratory.
     Next, a meeting of academicians with the faculty staff took place. The purpose of the event in areas 13 and 15 of the Sustainable Development Goals is interaction with scientists, exchange of experience, discussion of current problems in the field of energy, ecology, and economics.

                       

     Chairman of the Board Zhanseit Tuimebaev introduced the scientists, emphasizing their merits and contributions to science. “It’s wonderful to be given such a rare opportunity for live communication and exchange of opinions with recognized authorities in science. Welcoming Askar Akayevich and Robert Iskanderovich to our university, I am confident that communication between scientists from friendly countries in a democratic, scientific environment will bear fruit.”

                     

     Guests were happy to share their memories of studying at universities, their first steps in science, current problems and challenges that scientists around the world face today when working on projects in the field of sustainable development, the fight against global warming and climate change.
     The meeting ended with an exchange of views; during a lively discussion, participants were able to ask questions and receive detailed, meaningful answers to them.

             

     After the meeting, Askar Akaev and Robert Nigmatulin visited the KazNU campus, where they got acquainted with the work of the Center for Process Innovation, the faculties of chemistry and chemical technology and physics and technology.
