From October 16-20, 2023, under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program, the University of Poitiers (Poitiers, France) was visited by Madina Yesimkhanovna Mansurova, head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data of the Faculty of Information Technologies, and Doszhan Nursultan Sagynayuly, Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation Activities Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics. This event was also attended by Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of Samarkand State University Akhatov Akmal Rustamovich and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Urgench University Jamolbek Mattiev.

     During the visit, a meeting was held with the Vice-Rector for International Relations of the University of Poitiers, Christine Fernandez-Maloigne. Issues of cooperation between universities within the framework of master's and doctoral programs were discussed.The University of Poitiers is one of the oldest educational institutions in France, founded in 1431. It consists of 2 higher engineering schools (École Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Poitiers - ENSIP) and a higher school of economics and management. Training is carried out at 7 faculties in the following areas:

• Law and Social Sciences
• Economy
•  Fundamental and applied sciences
• Literature and linguistics
• Humanities and Arts
• Sports Sciences
•  Medicine and pharmacology

The university has 6 institutes:

• Polytechnic Institute of Poitiers (IUT)
• Polytechnic Institute of Angoulême (IUT)
• IAE University Business School (IAE Poitiers)
•  Institute of Communications and New Technologies (ICOMTEC)
• Preparatory Institute for General Administration (IPAG)
• Institute of Industrial, Insurance and Financial Risks (IRIAF)

     There was also a round table with representatives and members of the LMA laboratory (Laboratoire de Mathématiques et Applications) and attended the defense of a PhD dissertation in mathematics. In addition, we got acquainted with the laboratory of the engineering school (ENSIP) and a meeting was organized with the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Basic and Applied Sciences with Frederic Richard. As a result of the visit, preliminary agreements were reached on the opening of double-diploma educational programs in mathematics and mechanics. Also, as a result of negotiations, it was agreed that 2 young scientists from the Department of Mathematics (1 doctoral student, 1 teacher) will undergo an internship at the University of Poitiers from 01/15/24 to 02/15/24 at the expense of the inviting party.
