According to the order No. 457 of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University dated 12.11.2020 Galim Bekenovich Sheryazdanov was awarded for significant work in the development of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the "EREN ENBEGI USHIN" medal.

Research direction: fluid and gas mechanics, magnetic hydrodynamics

Scientific achievements: Author of 115 scientific papers, including 1 monograph, 1 textbook and 9 teaching aids. He prepared 6 candidates of Science and 10 masters of Mechanics, 7 students became winners of Republican competitions of SSRW.

Awarded the USSR Medal "For Labor Distinction" (1984) and badges Ministry of Higher Education of the USSR "For excellent success in work" (1985) and of MES RK "For merits in development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (2005), commemorative silver medal of P. L. Kapitsa "Author scientific discoveries of the" Russian AEN (2005), honorary badge "75 years of al-Farabi Kazakh National University " (2009), A.Baitursynov gold medal (2015) and the jubilee medal "Al-Farabi atyndagy Kazak ulttyk universitetine 80 zhyl" (2015).

He is the owner of the state grant MES "the Best teacher of the University" (2007) and the state scientific grant for scientists who have made outstanding contributions in the development of science and technology (2010-2012).
