On December 12, 2020, the opening of auditorium No. 321 named after the outstanding state and public figure, academician Nargozy Tursynbayevich Danayev took place.

Nargozy Tursynbayevich Danayev was born on September 3, 1948 in Maytobe village, Talas district, Zhambyl region. He is a major and outstanding specialist in the field of effective solution of hydrodynamic problems, widely used in areas of oil and gas production, ecology, weather forecasting, chemical industry, etc.his practical reputation is important, and is a well-known organizer of education and science. Under his leadership, 15 candidates of Science and 3 Doctors of Science were trained. From 1994 to the end of his life, he was the director of the Research Institute of mathematics and mechanics of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which he founded. In 1994, he became a laureate of the state prize of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of Science, Technology and education for the results of his work and his great contribution to the development of Mathematical Science and training of personnel. In 2001, he was elected academician of the National Engineering Academy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and in 2006, he was elected academician of the International Engineering Academy. In 2001, he was awarded the badge" for the development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan", in 2008-the badge" honorary worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan " and letters of thanks from the president of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2008 and 2012, he was awarded the grant" the best teacher of a higher educational institution of the Republic of Kazakhstan". 

By order of the rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, academician Galimkair Mutanovich Mutanov No. 121 dated March 16, 2020, the auditorium No. 321 of the Department of "Mathematics and computer modeling" at the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics was named after academician Nargozy Tursynbayevich Danayev.
