Grand opening of lecture hall №324 named after professor Smagulov Sh. S.

On December 12, 2020, the lecture hall named after a prominent state and public figure, Professor Smagulov Shaltay Smagulovich was opened.
Smagulov Shaltay Smagulovich was born on March 16, 1949 in Kuygan village, Balkhash district, Almaty region.
He is an outstanding scientist, teacher, very talented organizer in the field of education and science. Founder of the Scientific School of mathematical formatting and computational mathematics. From 1984 to 2001, he worked as the head of the Department of differential equations at the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics of S. M. Kirov Kazsu.
1996-2001 he held the position of director of the research institute "mechanics and mathematics" of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University, then dean of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics.
With the support of the rector, academician Mutanov Galimkair Mutanovich, with the direct participation of the current dean of the Faculty of mechanics and mathematics Dauren Zhakebayev and sponsorship of the Smagulov family, students and Alumni Association, the 324th auditorium with modern equipment opened its doors for the benefit of students.
