11/17/2023 The famous Turkish singer Tarkan, who was called the “Prince of Turkish pop music” and became famous not only in his country, but also in other countries in the 90s with the songs “Oynama...”, “Dudu”, “Kis kis”, held a concert in Kazakhstan. On this occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey gave free tickets to university students in Kazakhstan and allowed them to attend the concert. Students of our Turksoy Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, received such a wonderful gift, watched the concert and shared their impressions:

Sadvakasova Janel, 1st year student at the Turksoy department:

“On November 17, in Kazakhstan, in the city of Almaty, a concert of the famous Turkish singer Tarkan took place. Which I was lucky enough to visit together with my classmates from the university. The opportunity to attend this event was provided by the Turkish Embassy, to which I am deeply grateful for this gift.

The concert was amazing and gave a lot of positive emotions, as well as motivation for learning Turkish. As a future translator from Turkish, going to a concert by the unsurpassed artist Tarkan allowed me to fall more deeply in love with the language I was learning.

This day gave me indescribable feelings and allowed me to get closer to my classmates, as a result of which our connection began to become stronger from that very moment.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Turkish Embassy for the gift given to me and to Ms. Selenay, who was responsible for receiving and safekeeping the tickets.”

Aitupova Dayana, 1st year student of the Turksoy department:

“I would like to express my deep gratitude for giving me the opportunity to attend Tarkan’s concert. The gift I received was a pleasant surprise, and I am proud to be part of the Turksoy Department. The concert went very well and I really enjoyed it. I received a lot of vivid emotions and memories. This gesture not only made me happy, but also strengthened my affection for our wonderful university.”

«Müzik sanatın en güçlü yansımalarından biridir; görsellik olmaksızın, insan ruhunun her hücresini etkiler, bilinç geniş dünyasıyla kendine özgü resimlerini gözlerin önüne serer.

Bence her insanın yapılacaklar listesinde en sevdiği sanatçının konserine ayrılmış bir hayal var. Ben de bir istisna değilim ve Tarkan’ın 17 Kasım 2023 tarihinde yer alan konserine tam anlamıyla bir bilet elde edilecek kadar şanslıydım.

O akşamın ilk canlı izlenimi, alacakaranlıktaki bir şehir gibi ışıklarla dolu, loş bir salona atılan adımdı. Elbette salonun büyük olacağını biliyordum ama bu kadar devasa boyutlarda olması yine de beni şaşırttı ve etrafımdaki insanların hepsi Tarkan’la beraber aynı şekilde gülüyor, şarkı söylüyor ve dans ediyorlardı. Bugüne kadar birkaç konsere gitmiştim, lakin böyle inanılmaz duygu veren tek konser buydu.

Katılma şansını elde ettiğimiz böylesine güzel bir konserin  biletlerini hediye eden  Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Almatı Başkonsolosluğuna sonsuz teşekkürlerimizle!!!»
