SPIRITUAL AND EDUCATIONAL MEETING "RELIGION AND MORALITY"
On February 21, 2023 at 15:00, a spiritual and educational meeting was held on the topic "Religion and morality" with the attaché for religious affairs of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, Emrullah Uzyum, organized by the Department of TURKSOY of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The meeting was attended by students and faculty of the TURKSOY Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. Mr. Emrulla Uzyum noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kazakh brothers provided spiritual and material assistance in these difficult days of the Republic of Turkey, in connection with which he expressed gratitude on behalf of his country and himself. Dean of the faculty N.V. Yem noted that 40,000,000 tenge were transferred on behalf of the university staff, including large material assistance. In turn, the honored guest expressed confidence that the unity and unshakable friendship of the Turkic world will determine our historical values and human qualities on the global platform. Attaché for Religious Affairs of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty, Emrullah Uzyum, gave detailed information about the rules that promote cooperation, harmony in society and living together, about religion and society, the role of religion in public education, religious society in a secular state, about the role of Islam in raising a family and a generation, about human nature, a person and human values, about religion, faith and about religious books, and continued the interview showing examples from his life path and changes in the world. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Emrulla Uzyum answered the students' questions and noted that the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty will continue to provide ongoing support to the TURKSOY Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
