In the area “Mangilik El” scientific bases (fundamental and applied research in the field of education of XXI century, Humanities) a scientific project titled “Scientific foundations and theoretical mechanisms of knowledge, comprehension and application of Abai studies” is being conducted under the supervision of the director of Abai Institute, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zhangara Dadebayev (from 01.10.2020 to 21.12.2020 (27 months)).

In March-April 2020, the laboratory of sociolinguistics and translation of al-Farabi Kazakh National University in cooperation with the Academy of children's books "ALTAIR" conducted the VII Eurasian linguistic school "EPOCH AND PERSONALITY: Language. Education. Culture" (co-chair of the organizing Committee – head of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies, PhD Aimagambetova M. M.).
This event was to be held with a trip to two cities – Shymkent and Tashkent. In addition, a Children's book festival was planned to be held in Shymkent, which was awarded the status of "cultural capital of the CIS-2020" by UNESCO. However, due to the introduction of quarantine measures in the country, the Eurasian Language School was held in online form.
Participants of the Linguistic School (teachers of schools, colleges, universities) were given lectures on the professional development program for teachers in online mode.
"Trends in the development of human capital: financial, functional and reader literacy in a multilingual environment" – among the lecturers there were scientists from Moscow, Shymkent, Nur-Sultan and Almaty.
Webinar of Professor, member of the R / V ANC Shaimerdenova Nursulu Amalbekova was held on 5 April 2020 and was devoted to the topic "Culture of Russian speech and sociolinguistic competence in bi- and multilingual space of Kazakhstan". |
