Awards and achievements of chair

In the area “Mangilik El” scientific bases (fundamental and applied research in the field of education of XXI century, Humanities) a scientific project titled “Scientific Foundations and Theoretical Mechanisms of Knowledge, Comprehension and Application of Abai Studies” is conducted under the supervision of the Director of Abai Institute, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zhangara Dadebayev (from 01.10.2020 to 21.12.2020 (27 months)).

Purpose of the project is to study the scientific foundations and theoretical mechanisms of knowledge, comprehension and application of Abai studies.

Idea of the project is to contribute to the development, growth of spiritual, intellectual potential of Kazakhstan by creating scientific foundations and theoretical mechanisms for knowledge, comprehension and application of Abai studies. It’s expected the each problem solution will be a reasonable, measurable result of scientific and practical significance.

	On April 6, 2022, at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI” of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, *Muratova Aigerim Muratovna, a first-year master’s student of the specialty “Translation Studies (Western languages)”, Philological Faculty, made a scientific report in the Young Scientists section* and took the second *place. The topic of the report: «Kazakh-Uzbek literary relations».* Scientific supervisor: Kazybek Gulmira Kudaibergenkyzy
	Azhgalieva Alfiya Bekzhankyzy, a student of the specialty “6B02304 – Translation Studies (Western languages)”, has been awarded a diploma of the III degree for her presentation on the topic “Cultural Competence” in the section “Philology, Linguodidactics and Translation Studies” at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI”. Scientific supervisor: Berkimbayeva Saule Kenzhebekovna. Azhgalieva Alfiya Bekzhankyzy, a student of the specialty “6B02304 – Translation Studies (Western languages)”, has been awarded a diploma of the III degree for her presentation on the topic “Cultural Competence” in the section “Philology, Linguodidactics and Translation Studies” at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI”. Scientific supervisor: Berkimbayeva Saule Kenzhebekovna.
	Mukhametzhanova Adel Talgatovna has been awarded a diploma of the II degree for her presentation on the topic “Language and Thinking: Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis” in the section “Philology, Linguodidactics and Translation Studies” at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI”. Scientific supervisor: Berkimbayeva Saule Kenzhebekovna.
	On April 6, 2022, at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Farabi Alemi” Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Shamilkhan Ayaulym Shamilkhanovna, a master’s student of the 1st-year of specialty ‘Translation Studies (Western Languages)” gave a scientific report in the section of young scientists and was awarded the third place. The topic of the report: “Kazakh-Turkish literary relations”. Scientific supervisor: Kazybek Gulmira Kudaibergenovna.
	On March 3, 2022, Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University hosted the International conference of young scientists “Z. Akhmetov and Actual Problems of Kazakh Literature”, where the 1st year undergraduate student of the specialty “Translation Studies (Western Languages)”, Philological Faculty, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Mukan Magauiya Nurgaliuly made a meaningful report and took third place. The topic of the report: “Features of dubbing translation in Kazakhstan”. Scientific supervisor: Kazybek Gulmira Kudaibergenkyzy.
	Abdikalyk Islam Abdikarimuly, a student of the specialty “6B02304 – Translation Studies (Western Languages)”, has been awarded a diploma of the II degree for his presentation on the topic: “Can Cockney be considered as a dialect and how it influenced the modern English language” in the section “Philology, Linguodidactics and Translation studies” at the VII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “FARABI ALEMI”. Scientific supervisor: Sharipova Gulnara Sultanbekovna.

Doctoral student Zh.Taubaev received the degree of PhD on the updated educational program.

from 10.06.2019 to 26.07.2019 advanced training courses "Modern pedagogical technologies in higher

 educational institutions within the content of updated education" (260 hours) at the National Center for Advanced Training ".

 At the end of the course, the teachers defended the final portfolio in "excellent".

	International Scientific and Methodological Conference "Philological Sciences in the XXI Century: National Codex and Artistic Cognition" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the outstanding scientist, Doctor of Philology, Professor Zhangara Dadebayev was held at the Al-Farabi KazNU.

	Teacher of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Suleimenova Gulsim Seilkhanovna has been awarded. Еeacher who has been working at our University for 50 years.
	The outstanding specialist in literature, doctor of philological sciences, professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh national University, and academician of the International Academy Ch. Aitmatov Zhangar Dadebayev was awarded the medal “Kurmet” on the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The staff of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies heartily congratulates the honored scientist, a talented teacher with such a great reward and wishes him good health, long life and great success.
	In the framework of the project “Ainalandy Nulandyr!”, The Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages, together with students in the specialty “Translation Studies”, presented the new 2nd year undergraduate book Julia Katsman.
	November 10, 2018 the Debate Tournament of Novices among universities and other educational institutions of Almaty was held. Students of our department took an active part in this event! Pridatko Angelina (Translation, 1 course) advanced to the semifinals with the maximum number of points in the qualifying rounds, and Sagimbayeva Nursulu (Translation, 1 course)
