- use the appropriate instrumentation and technological equipment when using modern technologies for the processes of deep processing of oil, gas and coal hydrocarbons, as well as the production of fuels and lubricants and additives;
- determine the optimal schemes for the complex processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and the production of petroleum products with specified operational properties;
- draw up material and thermal balances of the processes of complex processing of hydrocarbon raw materials;
- carry out engineering calculations for the design and optimization of oil, gas and coal processing processes;
- assess the level of environmental problems of petrochemical and gas processing industries and find effective ways to solve them;
- formulate the problems and tasks of scientific research, including the selection of methodologies necessary for this stage of the research.

  In the 2018-2019 academic year (II semester) under the Abai-Vern scholarship program, under the program of dual diploma education, master student of the specialty "Petrochemistry" of the faculty of chemistry and chemical technology Kairoshev Danabek Serikovich studied at the University of Lorraine (France) in the specialty of "Reservoir Engineering". He completed an internship at the Institut Élie Сartan de Lorraine (IECL) on the basis of a master's thesis. Kairoshev Danabek successfully completed his dual degree program and received a diploma from our university and the University of Lorraine.

  Graduates of the department of the specialty "Petrochemistry" Auganbek Baurzhan and Almatkyzy Perizat work in a subsidiary of one of the largest oil companies "LUKOIL" - "LUKOIL Lubricants Central Asia" LLP as product quality control specialist.

A graduate of the department of the specialty "Petrochemistry" Kairoshev Danabek works as an operator of process units at "Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc." LLP. 

  A graduate of the department of the specialty "Petrochemistry" Sametov Nurzhan works in the largest oil producing enterprise in Kazakhstan - LLP "Tengizchevroil" as an process plant operator.  

  Rustem Aliya, having graduated from the specialty "Petrochemistry", is currently working as a quality engineer in the mining and metallurgical company "Sary-Arka Copper Processing" LLP. 

  A graduate of the department, Dosatov Tilegen, is currently working as an engineer-technologist in the workshop for the production of a wide range of chemical reagents of "Epsilon group" LLP.
