I, Akhunbaya Aiganym, am a first-year student at the Faculty of Journalism of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Due to the pandemic, our students studied online for 1 semester. I cannot say that the lesson had a positive impact on education. First of all, this is, of course, the problem of the Internet. Sometimes the rates run out and we cannot attend classes, sometimes the lights are turned off in the village.
Even the teachers' voices could not be heard due to zoom defects. Distance learning was of course a great experience. We have mastered the laptop and phone very well. However, I think future journalists need to practice and gain experience. Freshmen found it especially difficult to study new subjects without books, I still hope to study the second semester offline.
