On January 20-21, al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosts a scientific and practical conference on the topic "Development of research in universities as a necessary condition for the innovative development of Кazakhstan". At the conference, the results of scientific research conducted at all natural science faculties of the university were presented at the "Exhibition of scientific and innovative projects". The exhibition was attended by Professor of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bisenbaev A.K. with thescientific research results: "Antibacterial drugs for the treatment of sturgeons".

In the section "Organization of students research work", which is held within the framework of this conference, PhD, Deputy Head for educational, methodological and educational work of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Lovinskaya A.V. with a report on the topic "Fundamental scientific knowledge isthe basis of student applied research".

Research work at the university is very important, as it allows to improve the qualifications of teaching staff, who have to compete with the best scientists in the world, study the latest scientific literature and master modern research methods. The presence of a scientific infrastructure in higher education institutions allows the preparation of highly educated doctors and masters, as well as bachelors who have experience in scientific research and are able to use modernresearch methods to solve complex problems. Therefore, leading higher education institutions attach great importance to conducting advanced scientific research.
