The results of the rating of Kazakhstan universities in 2020 were summed up. The study was conducted by the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs "Atameken" with the involvement of employers by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. All universities of the country took part in the rating, except those subordinated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Security Committee and the Ministry of Defense.

When compiling the rating, the indicators of employment and career prospects of graduates, the quality of educational programs and the achievements of students were taken into account.

In 2020, the study covered 2 thousand educational programs, analyzed the employment of 68 thousand graduates, and involved more than 600 industry experts from all regions of Kazakhstan. As a result, 6 thousand expert opinions were received for 108 universities. "I am glad that this year, despite the epidemiological situation in the country, the employment of graduates remains at the same level.


In 2020, the employment rate was 71. The second thing that pleases is the growing satisfaction of employers. The study involved 600 experts who noted that there is an improvement in the quality of educational programs. That is, universities are already focused on the labor market. Employers satisfaction rose by 1.3. According to the results of the study, the average percentage of employment of graduates in 2020 remains at the level of previous years and is 71%. In specialized agencies, 73% of educational programs were accredited, while 72% of teachers have practical experience. Students of 36 universities implemented start-up projects.
