On Friday, February 10, at the Faculty of International Relations, the Academic Regional Resource Center on the UN at al-Farabi KazNU held an international Panel Discussion dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The international panel discussion covered the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) – 4, 5, 9, 10 and 17.

  The international round table was held with the participation of the Faculty’s management, Representative of the UN Department of Global Communications in Almaty – Vlastimil Samek, and Communications Coordinator of the Regional Program «Spotlight Initiative» for Central Asia and Afghanistan, UN Defense Committee – Olesya Zhuravleva.

Within the framework of the round table, 2 reports were presented on topical issues affecting gender inequality and the role of women in science in Kazakhstan and the world.

The event was held in a friendly atmosphere, where all participants took the opportunity to talk about topical issues and achievements of women in science. There was an interesting discussion between the participants and the invited guests.

According to the results of the event electronic certificates for participation and certificates in the nominations were sent – «Best report» and «Best discussant».
