Language is a true chronicle of the history of the people

On October 7, 2021, the Faculty of International Relations, Department of Diplomatic Translation hosted a Student Language Festival "Language is a true chronicle of the history of the people" in the framework of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The purpose of the student festival is to cultivate students' love and interest in languages, to expand their linguistic and ethnographic horizons, to develop creative and speaking skills, as well as to encourage language learning. Seven teams took part in the festival; each group gave a performance in the language they learn: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. 3rd year students majoring in International Relations represented the German language team and performed by following acts:

1. Presentation - Aidar Serikkazinov and Saida Rashidova;

2. Vocal performance, song -Perfekt- Akzer Moldakerim;

3. Creative performance, poetry reading - Dana Abduazimova;

4. Questions of the interactive quiz "Erudite" - Aigerim Kusainova;

5. Cultural corner: photo exhibition "Germany in Almaty" - Asem Nazarkasym and Daniyar Elshibek.

Following the results of the festival, judges of the contest awarded the winners in each nomination with diplomas. Aidar Serikkazinov and Saida Rashidova won the 1st place in the number of presentations and Akzer Moldakerim took the 2nd place in the musical number. In general, all teams and students showed good preparation and language skills. The festival was very interesting and informative.
