December 18 in a solemn atmosphere in the reception hall of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University rector Galimkair Mutanovich Mutanov on behalf of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev presented high state awards to professors of the Department of International Relations and World Economy: medals "Eren enbegi ushin" ("For labor distinction") prof. Baizakova Kuralai Irtysovna, prof. Gubaidullina Mara Shaukatovna, and medals "Shapagat" ("Mercy") prof. Kukeyeva Fatima Turarovna, prof. Makasheva Clara Naldibekovna.

Professor Mara Shaukatovna Gubaidullina shared her impressions of the award:

I am very glad that for the first time the teachers of international affairs of our university have been awarded such a high assessment for their work! This is undoubtedly a gift to the Faculty of International Relations in the year of its 25th birthday.

We are sincerely grateful to the leadership of KazNU, which supports our ideas and initiatives, our international and republican projects, which we manage to implement together with our colleagues.
