On December 8-17, 2018 Head of the Department of Diplomatic Translation, Faculty of International Relations, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, post-doctoral student at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) (2012-2014), Professor Almash Seidikenova was invited as a visiting Professor to the University of Geneva (Switzerland) the Faculty of "Education and psychology" to give lectures to undergraduates and doctoral students. During the stay Prof. Seidikenova A gave a course of lectures on the theme: "Intercultural approaches in the training of teachers of foreign languages" for undergraduates and doctoral students and a public conference was organized by her on the theme "Education System of Kazakhstan after adoption of the Bologna process: "advantages and disadvantages". Besides, Prof. Seidikenova A. together with Professor A. Akkari have started launching the project "Intercultural approaches in teacher education: a comparative and exploratory study of Switzerland-Kazakhstan". It should be noted that the University of Geneva (Switzerland) is among the top universities in the world by QS world Universities Rankings and occupies the 108 place.

During the visit, Professor Almash Seidikenova was in contact with professors of the faculty of Philology and applied linguistics and Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, which has 77 years of experience in the field of translation, namely, met with Professor Olivier Demissy-Kazeilles, coordinator of international programs.

The lectures given by Professor Almash Seidikenova highly appreciated by the faculty and confirmed by a certificate. As a result, Professor Almash Seidikenova was invited to give a lecture to graduate students of the University of Geneva in June 2019.
