On April 11, 2017, the European Information Center under al-Farabi KazNU together with the Delegation of the European Union in the Republic of Kazakhstan summed up the results of the international essay contest among students on the topic "25 Years of EU-Kazakhstan Cooperation: Results and Perspectives".

On April 11, 2018, the Head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania in Almaty, Mr. Daryus Vitkauskas, met with the teachers of the Faculty of International Relations of the KazNU. Al-Farabi prof. Gubaidullina M.Sh., Associate Professor Isovo L.T. and I.O. Associate Professor Kulbayeva A.T.

April 10, 2018 in the framework of the V International Farabi Readings "Farabi Alema", at the Faculty of International Relations of KazNU named after al-Farabi, candidate of law Tatarinov D. V. Intercollegiate Student Olympiad in International Law was held.

According to the results of QS World University Rankings KazNU became the first university in Kazakhstan and in Central Asia that has received "Four stars" of excellence in the international rating "QS Stars Development”

On April 9, 2019 in the Orphanage №1 in Almaty with International Law Department's teaching stuff, acting associated professor Altaeva K.Zh.,Jetibayev N.S. with a bachelor and master degree students of International Law Department, arranged  an event  Президент-ел тірегі. 

On 8th April, 2018 was held a discussion " Is The transfer to the Latin alphabet nation's future?" arranged by the PhD, acting associated professor of Department of International Law Altaeva K.Zh and by second year students of the International Law Department due to the project"Айналанды нурландыр".

On 6th April the French delegation from Poitiers made a working visit to Al Farabi Kazakh National University. The coordinator of Kazakhstan-French international programs Licha Badjini, the director of French center Gaella Shabas, the coordinator of faculty of philology Isabel Miyon, the teacher of faculty of economy Philip Rojon were in the delegation. 

At April 4, 2018 European Information Center of International relations faculty, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held international conference «Kazakhstan-EU cooperation: modern tendencies and perspectives», dedicated to 25th anniversary of Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and EU and 20th anniversary of European Information Center’s establishment at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The international competition for conducting negotiations for students of legal specialties in English took place on March 29-31, 2018 in Saratov State Law Academy (RF).
