On February 23, 2023, the Annual Tazhibaev Readings - International Scientific and Practical Conference "Education and Psychological and Pedagogical Science: Consistency, Continuity, Innovation" were held at the Scientific Library of KazNU named after al-Farabi.
The organizers are the Department of General and Applied Psychology, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of KazNU after al-Farabi.
On January 4-6, 2023, the International Winter Psychological School - 2023 began its work.
It has become a good tradition to hold Winter Psychological Schools at al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which is organized by the Center for Psychological Innovations and Technologies (Doctor of Psychology, Associate Professor F.S. Tashimova), Department of General and Applied Psychology, Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the University.
The theme of the psychological school in 2023 is "FUNDAMENTALS AND TECHNOLOGIES OF INTEGRATIVE APPLIED PSYCHOLOGY."
On November 17, 2022, the International Scientific and Practical Conference First Zharikbaev Readings "Actual Problems of Psychology and Pedagogy," organized by the Department of General and Applied Psychology of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, was held.
On 11.11.2022 at the department of pedagogy and educational management, faculty of philosophy and political sciences, al-Farabi Kazakh National University took place the international round table “Problems and experience of Psychological and Pedagogical Support of Students with Special Educational Needs at the University”( In the framework of the Project "Formation of professional self-determination of students with special educational needs (SEN) as a national strategy in the field of inclusive education in the Republic of Kazakhstan", which won a Grant following the results of the Competition of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for grant financing of scientific and (or) scientific and technical projects for 2022-2024).
The Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Meirbayev Bekzhan Berikbayevich and the Head of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Abdirayimova Gulmira Serikovna held a meeting with the Director of the Vishnevsky Institute of Demography, Professor of the Department of Demography of the Higher School of Economics Denisenko Mikhail Borisovich on October 19, 2022.

On 8.10.2022, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management organized an international round table "Higher Professional Education in the context of global trends of modernity", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of A.S. Magauova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of IASPE, academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Laureate of the National Award of Public Recognition of the achievements of women of Kazakhstan "Azhar".
The professors of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) visited the Department of Sociology and Social Work of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science from October 3 to 10, 2022. PolyU is one of the world's leading universities and has 65th place in the QS World University Rankings 2022.
05.10.2022 Dean of the faculty B.B. Meirbaev and head of the department of religious studies and cultural studies A.D. Kurmanalieva held a meeting with the Attaché for Religious Affairs of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Almaty Mr. Emrullah Uzum, and the coordinator of the Dianet Foundation of the Republic of Turkey in Central Asia Osman Turk. During the meeting, they discussed the project to hold the Winter School at the Faculty.
On October 17, 2022, the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science held an international webinar in conjunction with the Center for Alternative Perspectives and Global Concernes on the topic “Splendour (Hod)”. The speakers of the webinars were: Professor of Mandeville Academy Rico Sneller and Amira Fayyad (Egypt).
