В рамках научного проекта "Место и роль памятников культуры в процессах модернизации Казахстана в контексте Стратегии "Казахстан-2050" на кафедре религиоведения и культурологии факультета философии и политологии Казахского национального университета имени аль-Фараби, под руководством профессора Габитова Турсуна Хафизовича была издана хрестоматия "Традиционная и современная казахская культура" в виде электронной книги. В этой хрестоматии в основном описывается прошлое казахской культуры и достижения сегодняшнего дня.

Мr.Peeter Müürsepp, Professor of Tallinn Technological University, prominent philosopher of the science, chief editor of Acta Baltica Historiae et Philosophiae Scientiarum magazine which is being indexed at the Scopus database, visiting professor to the Department of Philosophy and Political Sciences, is successfully complet his work at Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi.

On April 30 at the meeting of the department associate professor L.V. Turarbekova conducted a scientific seminar on the topic “Limite nomade: LR problem de la method chez Gilles Deleuze”.

KazNU named after Al-Farabi, cooperating with world universities, provides an opportunity for students and undergraduates to undergo a scientific internship. At Oxford University a first-year undergraduate student in philosophy Aliaskarova A. passed a scientific internship

At the faculty of philosophy and political science held a meeting called "Men – qazaqtyn qyzymyn" with the winner of the title "Qazaq aruy-2014", actress, presenter, model and blogger Gulnaz Zholanova. 

April 18, 2019 at the University KazNU named after Al-Farabi took place the "Open Day" of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science. The event was attended by a student of the Almaty Regional College of Innovative Technologies in the Field of Nutrition with the curator-teacher of history Laila Tulbaeva Abdullaevna with invitation of the Department of Religious Studies and Cultural Studies.

On April 16, at the next meeting of the Department of Philosophy, Associate Professor of Philosophical science, M. Boretsky held a methodical seminar on the topic "Kazakhstan Cinema: Territory of Thoughts".

On the eve of the Nauryz holiday, the Department of Philosophy became the “Best Department” of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and took the second place.

On April 10, 2019 at the library of the KazNU was held an international scientific conference: «Spiritual Revival – 2 years». «Symbols, artifacts, monuments of culture of the Great Steppe». During the conference there was a presentation and discussion of textbooks of a new generation in cultural studies of the department of religious studies and cultural studies. PhD doctoral student of the 2nd course of the specialty "Religious studies" Kamalova F.B. took part in this event.
