The materials published in the period from April 1 to October 1, 2018 were accepted for this competition. 56 journalists and writers took part in the contest for the best essay, the center received more than 100 works. According to the head of the Department of religious Affairs of Almaty Aidar Esenbekov, the main objectives are to support car owners in the fight against extremism and alien movements, as well as strengthening the work on educational orientation, giving impetus to public policy and the creation of an information campaign on the prevention of extremism.

Awards to the best journalists were awarded by the Dean of the faculty of journalism of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi Sagatbek Medeubek, head of the Department of publishing and editorial design and art of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi Aigul Amangalievna, editor in chief of information and public-political portal “Qazaq times”, senior lecturer of the faculty of journalism of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi Koyshibek Mubarak, associate professors of the Kazakh national University named after al-Farabi faculty of journalism of Konyr Mukataeva and Nurzhan Kuantay.
