On March 2, 2018 among the 1st year students there was a professionally creative competition "TELEMUNARA" in the "TELEZERTKHANA" named after Professor M. Barmankulov. The contest, which was held for the first time in the future, is expected to held traditionally every year. A special statue of TELEMUNAR was created as a symbol of the competition. The purpose of the contest is the development of industry TV channels in the country's teleinformation area. In this connection, the first year students (84 students) were divided into 7 groups and participated in 7 television projects. According to the decision of the specially appointed jury, the title "TELEMUNARA" was received by the creative team of the "SayahatNews" TV channel.
