From February 15 to 17, the team of the well-known magazine "Russian Reporter" (Russia) conducted a seminar-training "Creating stories: from an idea to a technology" at the Faculty of Journalism.

 

The aim of the project is to attract young Russian-speaking reporters and civil journalists from the CIS, the Caucasus and the Baltic countries to participate in the contest "Сo-Creativity" in order to "create and make materials about Creators, people who promote social progress and friendship between countries and peoples, available to audiences in different countries ".

For three days students of Faculty of Journalism and Faculty of Philology and World languages ​​practiced the skill of creating successful multimedia stories under the guidance of professionals.

On the first and second days, Vitaliy Leibin, the chief editor of the magazine "Russian Reporter" and Dmitry Mikhaylin, the general director of the ANO "Russian Reporters", the Russian media manager, worked with the students on the technique and the approach for creating text stories.

The chief editor of the Horizon-media video studio, the master of the non-feature film and television film directing course, the associate professor of the St. Petersburg Institute of Culture Lyudmila Poznyakova explained the structure of the synopsis, and together with the students analyzed the psychological techniques of working with the heroes of the stories when preparing and conducting video shooting.

Master of photo essay Dmitry Belyakov shared professional approaches of creating photography stories on the basis of his author's projects.

On the third day, the creative projects of students were presented and discussed, the results were summed up and plans for further work were remotely discussed.

Vitaly Leibin became a mentor for the guys. Throughout the entire preparation of their competitive projects, participants can personally contact the mentor by mail and receive the necessary consultations.

Deadline of competition - August 15th, 2018. The winners will have an opportunity to go to a week-long forum of young journalists in Moscow at the expense of the host party.
