Students and teachers of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology attended the photo exhibition “The Way of the Deer” organized by the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan together with the General Consulate of Hungary in Almaty.

The GeneralConsulate of Hungary presented the works of the famous photo artist Odon Blaumann, educated as a professional hunter and who, by the nature of his work, was fascinated by the beauty and greatness of the wildlife of his homeland. Since 2000, he began making films about wild animals.

The personal exhibitions of Odon Blaumann were held in the major cities of Hungary – Budapest, Szekesfehervar, Papa, Pecs, Zirc, and also abroad: in Germany (Dortmund), Austria (Salzburg). His works decorated the covers of hunting magazines, the hunting newsletter (PIRSCH, WILD und Hund), calendars of various kinds, were published in newspapers, books.

The exhibition “The Way of the Deer” is dedicated to the memory of rare, hoofed deer-like animals that migrated 10–15 million years ago from Central Asia to Europe and other continents. Their life harmoniously intertwined with the Hungarian nature and had a positive effect on the results of hunting. Hungary has one of the best herds in world comparison, which includes red deer (CervusElaphus, gímszarvas), fallow deer (DamaDama, dámszarvas) and European roe deer (Capreoluscapreolus, európaiőz).

During the exhibition, students were acquainted with 65 photographs of the work of photographer Odon Blaumann, who introduced the nature and wildlife of Hungary. The solemn open exhibition continued with a short film specially made for this event. The exhibition definitely contributes to the strengthening of cultural ties between Hungary and Kazakhstan

Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University signed a memorandum of cooperation and partnership in order to expand scientific relations with the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum "Bozok" of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, were discussed issues related to the restoration of the historical and cultural memory of the people and the development of tourism, training of specialists, interactions of science and practice in order to implement the tasks set in the programmatic article of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity " and articles " Seven Facets of the Great Steppe".

Director of the State Historical and Cultural Reserve-Museum "Bozok" SauleBokeikhanovna visited the infrastructure of the campus and got acquainted with the main directions of the development of the university. A meeting was held with the rector of the University G.M. Mutanov, teachers and students of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology.

On March 14, the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University celebrated the tradition of “korіsu”, a special holiday of our people. Professor of Yeditepe University (Ankara, Turkey). Safes Yıldırım attended the celebration and shared his impressions.

The men of the department of “History of Kazakhstan”  of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology congratulated the beautiful half of the department with International Women's Day on March 8 and organized a festive table with treats. Head of Chair of History of Kazakhstan, professor  B.B.Karibayev, Deputy Head of the Chair of educational-methodical and educational work, Associate Professor E.N. Noyanov, as well as Doctor of History, Professor T.O. Omarbekov  made a congratulatory speech.

On February 26, 2019, according to the Institute’s annual plan within the framework of the “Rukhany Zhangyru” program for the implementation of the grant financing project “The holy places of the Kazakhs of Uzbekistan (the tombs of Zhalantos batyr, the biys of Tole and Aiteke, etc.), the genesis, history of study, current state” on the topic “Problems of studying the sacred places of the Kazakh diaspora of Uzbekistan”. During the event, the famous ethnographer Sh.Zh. Tokhtabaeva presented her book “The Etiquette of the Kazakhs” (Almaty, 2013. - 500 p.) And presented several copies to the Institute’s team and guests. Director of the Institute Z.E. Kabuldinov, in turn, thanked the author and presented a letter of thanks with flowers. Also an ethnographer S.E. Azhigali told about the merits of a scientist and expressed his thoughts about this work. At the round table, presentations were made by researchers on the topic, including the project leader, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.U. Toktabay, as well as PhD Kurmanalin NN, research associates - Sh.A. Bozdakova, M.U. Karamendina Also at the scientific event were his guests: Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor KazNU. Al-Farabi B.K. Kalshabaeva, Doctor of History, Professor KazNPU them. Abay M.K. Koygeldiev, who expressed their valuable recommendations on the work of the round table, were attended by representatives of leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, employees of the Institute of Oriental Studies. In the framework of the program “Ainalandy nurlandyr!”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, an educational and patriotic event was held with the participation of veterans of the Afghan war on the theme “Youth, courage, patriotism”.

With in the framework of the projects “Look to the Future: Modernization of Public Consciousness” and “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe” with the participation of the candidate of history, Professor Fatima Akinbayevna and first-year students of the Faculty of Philology and World Languages in the specialty Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages scientific conference dedicated to the leader Alash Orda Alikhan Bukeikhanov

Students of the 1st course  of the Kazakh language and Literature under the guidance of Candidate of Historical Sciences and Professor Kozybakova F. was held a scientific conference “Honor to the great teacher”.
