To the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, visited lecturer by the program «Attracting foreign scientists», a teacher at Hacettepe University (Turkey, Ankara), associate professor, vice director of the «Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi Institute» - Seify Yildirim. During the first meeting, he become acquainted with the structure of the faculty and with the life of the University, and also shared his plans for the near future.
From March 12 to April 9, Seify Yildirim delivered lectures on the theme «History of Central Asian Countries» for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology, and also actively participated in scientific conferences and seminars organized by the faculty and university. During the lecture, discussed topics such as the «National struggle and the image of Atatürk in the Turkic states», «Representatives of jadism in the early twentieth century: the example of the Turkic peoples», «The history of the statehood of the Turkic states of Eurasia», «Historiography of statehood in the Turkic states of Eurasia», «The problem of power in ancient and medieval times», «Historical figures of historical personality», «Historical figures and modernity», «Historical figures of ancient times: in the studies of Turkish scientists», «Historical figures of medieval Eurasia: a historiographical analysis», «The spiritual activities of traditional Islamic representatives of Central Asia» and much more.
The professor conducted meaningful classes, where students and teachers of the faculty were aware of new trends in the development of historical science, interactively observed teaching methods, and were practiced in foreign language speech. It seems that communication with foreign guests will find its continuation in virtual communication and will manifest itself in various joint scientific initiatives. The professor left for public use his scientific works in the form of textbooks, slide reports.
