Presentation of the World Tourism Forum in Lucerne (WTFL) in KazNU

In the conference hall of the technopark of Al Farabi KazNU the presentation of the World Tourism Forum in Lucerne (World Tourism Forum Lucerne) for tourism professionals was organized.
Speakers: President and CEO of WTFL Martin Barth and Chairman of the WTFL
Advisory Council Reto Wittwer.
The World Tourism Forum in Lucerne, which professionals call "Davos in the field of
tourism and hospitality" is a global dialogue platform for the heads of national tourism
administrations, ministers, investors, the academic community and talented representatives of the
younger generation.
The Forum implements a unique concept, based on the transfer of best practices,
progressive ideas between experienced managers and young talents, just starting out in the
tourist business, public and private sectors, and between new, innovative and traditional areas of
tourism.
The fifth World Tourism Forum in Lucerne that was held on May 3-5, 2017, was held
with the slogan "Be demanded in unstable conditions!" With the participation of more than 500
representatives of 75 countries.
Kazakhstan, represented by the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, was
first honored to participate in such a large-scale event.
As a result of the participation, a memorandum of intentions was signed, Al Farabi
KazNU was included in the program of "Young Talents", having acquired the right to participate
in the student competition of innovative projects of the Forum-2019, as well as in the work of the
"think tank" an authoritative international jury.
