Webinar “Prospects for online training in waste management training”

 

On February 28, on the basis of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a unique webinar “Prospects for online training in waste management training” was held as part of the Erasmus + project “Enhancing Competences of Sustainable Waste Management in Russian and Kazakh HEIs / EduEnvi. This EduEnvi project is designed for three years, during this period partner universities will develop 8 online modules consisting of 20 courses in Kazakh, Russian and English.

Members of the project consortium: University of Applied Sciences Tampere, TAMK, Finland; Academy Lillebael (University of Applied Sciences), Denmark; Valladolid University, Spain; ITMO University (St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics), Russia; Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin, Russia; Tyumen State University, Russia; Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakhstan; Kokshetau State University. Sh.Valikhanov, Kazakhstan; South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov, Kazakhstan.

In the webinar took part KASE managing director, ECO Network founder Mukhamedzhanov Yevgeny ; Leading Specialist of the Production Department of JSC "Tartyp" Beysenov Miras; Head of Advanced Development of Saiman Corporation LLP Uarbekov Birzhan; Head of the methodical work and educational technologies of Al-Farabi KazNU Saksenbaeva Zhanna; Eco-activist of the city of Almaty Bota Medeuova, a graduate of the Department of Thermophysics and Technical Physics Medet Sisengaliev, teachers and students of the university.

The speeches of the speakers, which highlighted the problematic aspects of the management of municipal solid waste, aroused great interest among those present; aspects of cooperation were identified, the relevance of developing online courses in the field of waste management was emphasized. Ready-made online courses will be posted on educational platforms of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and ITMO University.

At the meeting, a joint resolution of Kazakhstan's partner universities on the implementation of the Erasmus + project “Enhancing Competences of Sustainable Waste Management in Russian and Kazakh HEIs / EduEnvi” was developed. The experience and best practices of European countries in waste recycling will be used to develop the modules.

The results of the webinar allowed to expand the existing experience and in the future, undoubtedly, will help make the online courses being developed productive and interesting. Interactive tools and the inclusion of practical tasks in courses tailored to the specifics of each region; a modern training format that is suitable both for managers who want to improve the qualifications of their subordinates, and for managers who are interested in acquiring new knowledge on the job; the use of social networks for communication in the learning process - all this will contribute to the training of qualified professionals in demand in the labor market.
