29 November 2018 under the programme "Rukhani zhangyru" to attract students to scientific-educational problems of modern power engineering held a student conference on the theme "My profession - a profession's future: the status and prospects of heat-power engineering".The conference was held in 3 sections:

Section 1. "The role of heat power engineering in the development of the country's economy»

Section 2. "Heat power engineering as a significant source of impact on the environment»

Section 3. "Research in the field of heat power engineering in the Republic of Kazakhstan»

For discussion and debate 20 scientific reports in the presentation form prepared by students of 1 course 131, 133, 135 groups of speciality "Thermal power Engineering" were presented. Reports were devoted to actual problems of heat power engineering. Guests were invited to the conference. Specialist of thermal power stations Almaty (TPP-2) our first graduate student of the speciality "Thermal Power engineering" Alisher Tolebiyev answered the students' questions, told about the peculiarities of activity of specialists of Thermal power engineering. Summing up the results of the conference, the head of the Department of Thermophysics and technical physics Professor S. Bolegenova in her speech told the good theoretical preparation of students for research work. She expressed her gratitude and wishes to the participants of the conference. To motivate the educational and cognitive activity of students told about the priority direction of the scientific activity of the Department.
