Postdoctoral student of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Taypakova Sabira Myktybekkyzy was awarded the 2020 State Scientific Scholarship by Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 542 dated December 25, 2020 (https://egemen.kz/article/259812-qazaqstan-respublikasy-bilim-dgane-ghylym-ministrininh-2020-dgylghy-25-dgeltoqsa).
This scholarship is awarded to talented young scientists actively conducting fundamental and applied research in priority areas for the state.
Taypakova S.M. is a graduate of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics. In 2011, she completed her doctoral studies. She defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the speciality "6D060700-Biology", the program "Genetics" on the topic "Molecular cloning and optimisation of gene expression of fungal thermostable cellulolytic enzymes". The academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), the doctor in profile, was awarded by Order No. 360 of 10.04.2012.
Taypakova S.M. has 12 years of research experience in biochemistry and enzymology, the results of which have been published in more than 70 scientific journals, including articles in highly rated journals included in the Scopus database and Web of Science. Her research interests cover yeast genetic engineering, DNA repair enzymology, and cell signalling. 
She actively participates in personnel training and bachelor's and undergraduates study under her guidance.
S.M. Taypakova is a scholarship holder of the State scientific scholarship for talented young scientists in 2014, the "Best Young Scientist of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" in 2015, and a scholarship holder of the Bolashak International Scholarship 2016-2017.
