Yesterday, February 27, in the conference hall named after U.A. Joldasbekov at the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Memorial Day of Academician Dzholdasbekov Umirbek Arislanovich was held.

The event was organized by the Department of Mechanics.

This event is the beginning of the celebration of the 85th anniversary of the Department of Mechanics.

A student of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Bekzat Ajan, won the Bolashak scholarship.

Today, Bekzat Ajan is a graduate student at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Iliinois USA. He is a major in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Fluid mechanics & CFD.

November 26, 2019 in Almaty, the Rahat Palace Hotel hosted the Kazakh-German Forum Renewable Energy in Kazakhstan with the participation of a delegation from Germany. The purpose of the visit of the economic delegation from Germany was to establish business contacts with Kazakhstani enterprises, as well as to present their goods and services in the Kahakhstan market in the field of solar and wind energy.

 This forum was attended by Lecturers of the Department of Mechanics, associate professor Turalina D.E., associate professor Tulepbergenov A.K. and doctoral student G. Zhumabaeva.

From November 21 to November 23, 2019 there was held the interdepartmental boxing championship among students of al-Farabi Kazakh National University dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Abilkhanov Islam, 1st year student of Mechanics Department, Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty, won the 1st place in the weight class up to 80 kg in this championship.

On November 12, 2019, an educational exhibition “Education Fair - 2019” was held at the Republican Physics and Mathematics School (RPMS) in Almaty with the participation of Kazakhstani universities.

The main goal of the event is to provide high-school students and parents with complete and reliable information about the advanced universities of Kazakhstan and the educational programs available at universities, to help school graduates in choosing their future profession.

The event was attended by representatives of more than 10 universities in Kazakhstan. Among them were teachers of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhumashev Zh. and Bolysbek D. 

On Saturday, 02/02/2019 at 19.00 in the House of Students No. 6 an open lecture-conversation is held on the new specialty "Robotic systems" as part of the event "Days of the Department of Mechanics in the hostel."

A lecture-conversation is conducted by the coordinator of the educational program "Robotic systems", teacher of the Department of Mechanics Zhumasheva Zh.

From October 10 to 12, the Erasmus Day was held around the world in support of the global event with the hashtag #Erasmus Days2019.

The European Union's Erasmus+  - program is a funding scheme to support activities in the fields of Education, Training, Youth and Sport.

10/11/2019. 14 student teams took part in the #Erasmus Day student business ideas competition organized by the Almaty University of Energy and Communications (AUES). The start-up team of the FLYUP Group company of the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in it with the «SMART TABLE» project and took second place.
