In the framework of the international scientific conference of students and young scientists “Farabi World”, an annual competition of innovative projects of student business incubators was held at the Kazakh National University.
Young scientists from the Department of Mechanics of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty also took an active part in this competition and presented three projects.
During the emergency introduced in connection with the world coronavirus pandemic, al-Farabi KazNU switched from 16.03.2020 to distance learning for students. Like the entire University, the Department of mechanics of the faculty of mechanics and mathematics conducts all classes in full extent remotely and online. At this time, the main thing for every teacher is to organize uninterrupted and high-quality education for students. Senior lecturer at the Department of mechanics M.O. Nogaibayeva prepared guidelines for conducting an online workshop, which provides information about the structure of the workshop from organization to verification.
In the period of April 6-8, at the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, the international scientific conference of students and young scientists "Farabi Alemi" was held online.
Within the framework of the conference, under the leadership of the Department of Mechanics, 3 breakout sessions were held: “Continuum Mechanics”, “Theoretical and Applied Mechanics”, “Space Engineering and Technologies”.
Recently, the assistant professor of our department T. Kunakbaev shared with one story related to the photo ghosts of famous pilots.
Kunakbaev Tulegen Ospanovich was born in 1950 in the Novosibirsk region, in the Kulyndinsk (Kulyn) steppe.
In 1964, he, as an excellent pupil, the pioneer-Komsomol leader of the school and the athlete, was given the only ticket to the whole region to the All-Russian pioneer camp «Орленок» on the Black Sea coast of the Caucasus, near the seaport of Tuapse. There a meeting of schoolchildren with cosmonauts Yuri Gagarin, Andriyan Nikolaev, Vladimir Komarov and Konstantin Feoktistov, who were resting at that time in the city of Sochi, took place.
Omirbekov Sagyn Kumishanovich - a graduate of the Department of Mechanics, Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a student of Professor A. Kaltayev. In 2013, through the Geo-Energy Program, he entered a double master's degree and had the opportunity to further his education in the French Republic. He is currently completing a doctoral program at BRGM (French Geological Survey), the Center for Geological Research in the French Republic, and at the University of Arts et Metiers ParisTech.
A graduate of the Department of Mechanics, student of professor A.Kaltaev , PhD Bakbauov Bakbergen Ermekbaevich on the eve of the holidays “Science Day” congratulated his native alma mater on the glorious anniversary of the 85th anniversary of the Department of Mechanics, as well as the 10th anniversary of the educational programs “Geoenergetics”. He wished the entire team of the Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, new creative and scientific achievements, further successes in a big and important matter!
Currently, 100 holders of "Abay-Vern" scholarship are studying in France, of which 90 master students and 10 doctoral students from various universities in Kazakhstan. Among them, a graduate of Mechanics Department of the al – Farabi Kazakh National University Turtayeva Zarina doing her doctoral research at LEMTA (LABORATOIRE D'ÉNERGÉTIQUE ET DE MÉCANIQUE THÉORIQUE ET APPLIQUÉE) laboratory of the University of Lorraine in Nancy, France.
According to the plan of pedagogical practice, it is envisaged that undergraduates - trainees will conduct several lectures, seminars and laboratory classes for undergraduate students in subjects of relevant specialties.
From today, in connection with the international public health emergency due to the global outbreak of coronavirus, undergraduates - trainees of the Department of Mechanics, began to conduct distance lectures.
February 28, as part of pedagogical practice Under the direction of D.E. Turalina, first-year undergraduates Zhumabek Marzhan, Zhumanova Marzhan, Kambarbek Alisher and Arshabekova Aigerim for students of dormitory No. 6 for the purpose of vocational guidance conducted an open lesson in the double-degree educational program “Mechanics and Energy”.
