The Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the International Center for the Development of Science invites students to participate in a video contest on the topic "HISTORY LESSONS".

The competition is held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at the development of patriotic education of young people. To participate in the competition, it is necessary to prepare a video dedicated to the "30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan". A video clip is a captured video of a participant of the Contest, lasting no more than 5-6 minutes, touching on the issues of the country's history, law, issues of patriotic education, etc. in MP4 format are sent to the organizing committee. Videos are accepted in Kazakh, Russian, and English. The video can be presented by the contestants individually or collectively.

The competition is held in two stages:

stage 1: acceptance of competitive works (VIDEOS) until February 28, 2022;

Stage 2: the work of the competition commission - from April 1 to April 10, 2022.

The Organizing Committee of the competition completes the acceptance of entries on February 28, 2022 at 23:30. Entries received by the Organizing Committee of the competition after the specified time will not be allowed to participate in the competition.Videos from March 1 to March 31, 2022 will be posted on the IRD News YouTube channel. The competition commission will select the most interesting and high-quality videos in terms of content, with the largest number of views, and will determine the winners, winners of the competition.

After studying, evaluating the videos, determining the winners of the competition and prize-winners, the competition commission will award the winners from April 1 to April 10, 2022:

1st place – 100 thousand tenge

2nd place – 50 thousand tenge

3rd place – 30 thousand tengeTwo nominations for 10 thousand tenge

All contestants are awarded incentive prizes for their participation in the development of commercials. Information about the winners of the competition will be published on the official website of the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Internet resources.

REGULATIONS ON THE CONDUCT OF THE COMPETITIONHISTORY LESSONS VIDEOS
among the students dedicated to the "30th anniversary of Independenceof the Republic of Kazakhstan"
GENERAL PROVISIONS
1.1. This Regulation on the contest of videos "HISTORY LESSONS" amongstudents dedicated to the "30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" defines the procedure for organizing and conducting the contest, its organizational and methodological support, the procedure for determining and awarding winners.

1.2. The organizer of the competition is the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the International Center for the Development of Science.

1.3. The contest is held within the framework of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, aimed at the development of patriotism of students.
II. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE COMPETITION
2.1. The purpose of the contest: to develop feelings of patriotism among young people, pride in their homeland.

2.2. Objectives of the contest:- to activate the interest of the younger generation in studying the historical eventsof the formation of Independence of Kazakhstan;- to promote the formation of patriotic values, respect for the cultural heritage of their homeland.

III. THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE AND THE COMPETITIONcommission
3.1. The general management of the preparation and conduct of the competition is carried out by the Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Organizing Committee)

3.2. Functions of the Organizing Committee: implementation of the organization and procedure of the competition;formation of the competition commission for the evaluation of the competition materials.

3.3. Functions of the competition commission: study, evaluation of videos, determination of winners and prize-winners of the competition in accordance with this Regulation; formation and sending to the Organizing Committee of the evaluation results, the list of winners and prize-winners of the competition.
IV. STAGES AND TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
4.1. The competition is held in two stages:Stage 1: acceptance of competitive works (VIDEOS)  until February 28, 2022;Stage 2: the work of the competition commission - from April 1 to April 10, 2022.

4.2. The Organizing Committee of the competition completes the acceptance of entries on February 28, 2022 at 23:30. Entries received by the Organizing Committee of the competition after the specified time will not be allowed to participate in the competition.

4.3. Videos from March 1 to March 31, 2022 will be posted on the IRD News YouTube channel.

4.4. From April 1 to April 10, 2022, the winners of the competition will be determined. Information about the winners of the competition will be published on the official website of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Internet resources. 
V. REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPETITIVE WORKS
5.1. Videos corresponding to the subject of the contest are provided for the "HISTORY LESSONS" contest.

5.2. The contestant determines the genre of the video independently (for example: reportage, review, video clip, etc.).

5.3. Technical requirements for the video:- video format: MP4;- the timing of the video is no more than 5-6 minutes.

5.4. Videos are accepted in Kazakh, Russian, and English. 

5.5. The video can be presented by students individually or collectively.

5.6. By participating in the contest, the contestant automatically grants the right to the organizers of the contest to use the contest material without additional notice (posting on the Internet, etc.

5.7. Appeal and analysis of errors of the contest works are not provided by the Organizing Committee.
VI. CRITERIA FOR THE EVALUATION OF COMPETITIVE WORKS
6.1. Criteria for evaluating videos:- compliance of the work with the declared topic;- depth of disclosure of the topic and clarity of presentation;- the originality of the video (the novelty of the idea);- skill and quality of work execution;- creative approach to the disclosure of the material.
VII. SUMMING UP THE RESULTS OF THE COMPETITION. AWARDING

7.1. After studying, evaluating the videos, determining the winners of the competition and prize-winners, the competition commission will award the winners from April 1 to April 10, 2022:1st place – 100 thousand tenge2nd place – 50 thousand tenge3rd place – 30 thousand tenge

7.2. Two nominations for 10 thousand tenge

7.3. All contestants are awarded incentive prizes for their participation in the development of the video.
