As part of the educational visit under the "Visiting Professor" program at the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, a well-known scientist, PhD doctor, professor of PFUR and NRU HSE from Russia Morgunova Oksana Alekseevna conducted lectures and practical classes.Morgunova Oksana Alekseevna is a graduate of the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) with a doctorate in international political journalism. For a long time Morgunova O.A. She was the coordinator and leader of the British Research Group at the Institute for International Migration and Gender Studies in Brussels.The area of ​​scientific interests of Professor Oksana Morgunova covers gender and diaspora studies.Professor Morgunova O.A. is the author of over 30 scientific papers in leading scientific journals of the world (USA, France, Belgium, Great Britain).         Morgunova O.A. shared her scientific and professional experience with undergraduates and doctoral students of the educational programs "International Relations" and "Regional Studies".During the classes, Morgunova O.A. students got acquainted with the issues of research methodology and new trends in the development of scientific schools in the field of international relations and world politics.         Particular attention was paid to practical examples of preparing publications for scientific journals with Scopus and Web of Science databases with an analysis of disadvantages and advantages. Along with this, promising topics for future joint publications were discussed.
