On may 30, 2020, on the last Saturday of may, the traditional "alumni Day" was held at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The Department of international law held an online meeting of graduates dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the birth of Abu Nasr al-Farabi. The event brought together about 30 graduates who at various times graduated from the specialty "International law".

Moderator of the event - head of the Department of international law, PhD, Professor Zh.T. Sairambaeva noted in her welcoming speech that the purpose of the event is to strengthen and develop friendly and business contacts.

The ceremonial part of the event began with the student anthem "Gaudeamus" and congratulations of the rector of al-Farabi KazNU Academician Mutanov G.G. Also the Chairman of the constitutional Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, President of the alumni Association of KazNU, doctor of law, Professor Mami K. A. addressed the graduates with a video greeting.

During the meeting of graduates were presented a presentation about the achievements of the University and the Department of international law. The history of formation and development of the Department was told by Ph.D., associate Professor Mashimbayeva G.A., showing memorable photos of graduates of different years of graduation and colleagues, which caused pleasant emotions and memories in the audience.

In addition, the meeting listened to the video greetings of the graduates of the faculty of international relations: First Deputy Permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the UN of Isetov A., State inspector of the administration of the President of Kazakhstan Kairbek M., Director of the International Law of MFA of the Republic Kazakhstan Zhumakanov N., Director of  Republican scientific practical center "Daryn" Boranbay A., Chief consultant of the Department of legislation in the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Akhmetov E., Senior lawyer of “Ernst&Young Kazakhstan” Abdukarimov A. and others.

The graduates expressed their warmest and most grateful wishes to the teachers and further prosperity of their Alma mater. Each graduate has their own life path, but every year they find time to meet again with teachers and classmates.
