On December 14, 2017 at the Faculty of International Relations 1 year students of International Relations (Russian and special departments) organized an event in commemoration of D.A. Kunayev. It was a meeting- reminiscences of students with the people who had closely known D.A. Kunayev.
Within the framework of the project: "Ainalandy Nurlandyr" an event was held on the topic: "Corruption" with participation of undergraduates of the first year, specialty "World Economy" of the Russian department.

On 7th of December 2017 at 15.00 on the basis of the project «Айналаңды нұрландыр» forth year students of the World Economy specialty were organizing the event on the topic “Poverty in Kazakhstan”.

November 29, 2017, Faculty of International Relations Al-Farabi KazNU was visited by representatives of the international organization "Center for Emergencies and Disaster Risk Reduction".
On November 29, 2017 at the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi Kazakh National University within the frame of the scientific and educational club "Shygys Alemi" an international scientific seminar on the topic "Bolashaqqa baġdar: ruhani zhańġyru" dedicated to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. The scientific seminar was organized with the assistance of the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World (Turkey, Ankara). The event was attended by the Head of the club, Associate professor S.Boribayeva, senior adviser of the faculty Zholdasbayev O.K., Associate professor Bakyt A.T. as well as the 1st and 3rd year students and master degree students of the Faculty of International Relations.

Within the framework of the project "Aynalandy nurlandyr" fourth year students of the International Law specialty under the supervision of candidate of jurisprudence, associate рrofessor Dosymbekova M.S., PhD Baimagambetova Z.M ,candidate of jurisprudence, senior lecturer Tatarinov D.V. , conducted an intellectual game on the topic: "What I know about international law?".
