March 6, 2020 adviser 3 courses of the specialty “regional Studies” of the faculty of international relations , candidate of historical Sciences, Byuzheeva B. Z. conducted advisery hour on the theme “Prevention of coronavirus” with the participation of 3rd year students of specialty "regional Studies".
On March 5, 2020, in the framework of events dedicated to meetings with employers, the Department of International Law held a meeting-conversation of graduates - 4th year students of the specialty “International Law” with Gileva Natalya Vasilyevna - Ph.D., lawyer at the Hummingbird Kazakhstan LLP. During the event, students learned about the specifics of the personnel policy of enterprises, about the procedure for paying salaries, and about the opportunities for long-term growth. Gileva N.V. answered numerous questions of students regarding practical training at enterprises, passing the probationary period when applying for a job, etc. The issues of practical skills in the professional activities of an international lawyer were also discussed together.
In order to create a good mood and a festive atmosphere, as well as to strengthen the cohesion of the group, on March 5, 2020, a curator hour was held dedicated to International Women's Day - March 8!
The curator hour was attended by 12 students.
During the curatorial hour, a presentation was devoted to the great women in the history of Kazakhstan. The boys of the group also presented gifts to the girls and said their wishes and prepared a buffet table.
On March 3, 2020, associate Professor B. Z. Buzheeva and 1st-year master's student Kaliakhmet A. Zh. with the participation of 3rd-year students majoring in regional Studies held a cultural event dedicated to the International women's day on March 8. The purpose of the event is to show the importance of the role of women in society, to show the good intentions of students to teachers.
On March 2, at the Faculty of International Relations, in the framework of events dedicated to AIDS prevention, a meeting of students of the specialty "International Law" with the staff of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Almaty was held. Students were given a lecture on the topic "HIV - infection and infection control." Organizers - teachers Begzhan A.M., Maulen A.A., Tusupova A.Zh.
On February 28, 2020, the All-Russian Academy of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Actual Problems of Foreign Economic Activity in the Russian Federation”. Undergraduates and doctoral students of the specialty "International Law" of KazNU took an active online participation in this conference. Along with gaining new knowledge, participants were able to share their own experiences during discussions and exchange of views.
Department of International Law, Faculty of International Relations, KazNU Al-Farabi constantly liaises with employers. For graduates, the issue of employment after graduation is an urgent issue. In order to obtain information, as well as obtain answers to questions of interest, on February 28, 2020, E. Abdrakhmanova was invited to a meeting with students. - Director of the Expert Consulting Center "PowerLaw" and Bazarbekov D. K. - General Director (Chairman of the Board) of KAZAKHHOLDING LLP. During the conversation, issues of employment and practical training of students were discussed.
February 28, 2020 in the dormitory №14 of the Faculty of International Relations of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, a meeting took place on the topic: "Administrative offenses encroaching on public order and morality" for students of the specialty "International Law", which was conducted by the deputy head of the professional-psychological training and management of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatova Aslanov Mirfail Mammadovich.
On 27th of February 2020 on the initiative of the Head of the Department of Diplomatic Translation Professor Seidikenova A. S., at the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi Kazakh National University there opened the international center for " Intercultural communication and Translation studies»
The purpose of the international center is:
- organization of joint research projects and writing articles, conducting training seminars and courses for professional development; master classes, summer schools;
- translation and interpretation services (translation of various texts from English, French, German and Spanish);
- consultation on international educational programs and international grants, organization of summer schools;
- providing educational services for studying English, French, German, Chinese and Spanish.
According to the duty schedule of International relations faculty, department of diplomatic tranlsations of KazNU named after Al-Farabi, on February 26, 2020 from 19.00 to 22.00, I was on duty at the dormitory №14.
During my duty time, I went upstairs to each floor of the dormitory, checked the cleanliness of the dining room, and observed the order in the corridor.
At 8 p.m I read a report on the theme: «Үздікпен үзеңгілес» in the assembly hall. The educational purpose of the report was to introduce the best graduates of Al-Farabi KazNU and famous people of the University with students. Students of the Faculty of International Relations and the Faculty of Oriental Studies attended the conference.
There were some discussions about famous graduators of KazNU as Olzhas Suleimenov, Nurlan Orazalin, Rakhman Alshanov, Abdrasul Zharmenov, Armanzhan Baitasov, Asylbek Kozhakhmetov and Nurlan Smagulov. Balandin, V.A. Zyabkina, S. Altynbekova.
Students took an active part, shared their ideas and asked questions from interested parties. The meeting had a high educational value.
