Department of International Relations of al-Farabi Kaz NU, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty jointly with the United Nations Department of Public Information in the Republic of Kazakhstan invite you to participate in the round table devoted to the results of the activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan as the President of the UN Security Council on February 6, 2018 at the Faculty of International Relations of al-Farabi KazNU.

The round table will cover issues related to main initiatives and activities of Kazakhstan as non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in 2017-2018. In particular, documents adopted by the Security Council on Central Asia and Afghanistan.

On January 18, a high-level UN Security Council briefing was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev on the topic "Non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction: confidence-building measures." On January 19, a debate was held on the topic: "Building regional partnership in Afghanistan and Central Asia as a model for the interdependence of security and development" chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K. Abdrakhmanov.

Representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of state structures, academic and expert community, teachers and students of universities, mass media are invited to participate in the conference.
