LECTURE COURSE BY VISITING PROFESSOR SAITOU NARUYA HAS STARTED IN THE DEPARTMENT

From September 28, 2022, at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, within the framework of the "Invited Professor" program, lecture courses of Dr. PhD, professor from Japan Saitou Naruya began.

Dr. PhD, Professor Saitou Naruya, is the director of the Asia Genome Tao Center (AGTC) at the National Institute of Genetics in Mishima, Japan. From September 28 to October 25, 2022 (4 weeks) based at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of our faculty will give lectures on the courses "Introduction to evolutionary genetics", "Bioinformatics data analysis". In addition, he plans to advise teachers, scientists, doctoral students and undergraduates on the use of bioinformatics methods in molecular genetic research, exchange experience with the intricacies of scientific research .

On September 28, 29, 30, Professor Saitou Naruya gave lectures on the following topics: Information flow among DNA, RNA, and protein as the basis of heredity and variability; Overview of the history of genetic studies with special focus on the genetic code (A perspective of history of genetic studies with special focus on genetic code); A brief history of protein studies.
