S., Zhumadil G., Isaeva N.T. of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Pre-University Education on October 28, 2021 watched the play "Sygan Serenadasy" at the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theater named after Mukhtar Auezov. The purpose of the event: to introduce the audience to the main cultural attraction of the country. When watching this performance dedicated to the king of the waltz, the famous composer Shamshi, undoubtedly, the audience received a lot of impressions and spiritual value. And also, the younger generation was impressed by the high acting skills of Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Turys, laureate of the State Prize "Daryn" N.Karabalina.

The curator of the MPK - 203 group of the Al-Farabi Asembayeva KazNU College, Altyn Shakerzhanovna, held a curatorial hour "one hundred years of the sung heart" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Zhambyl Zhabayev. During the curatorial hour, the study groups got acquainted with the poet's life path, told his poems by heart.

On September 29, the "Monitoring and Analysis Center" of the Public Development Department of Almaty held a lecture on the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism among students of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University College.

On September 9, 2021, for students of the 1st year of the KazNU college of the specialties "Lawer", "Translation", "Accounting and Audit", "Software", an introductory work was carried out with the research institutions of the university, museums, library departments, as well as a sports complex.

Teachers of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-university Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, despite the limited online format of opportunities, conduct international events aimed at popularizing the teaching of Kazakh and Russian languages to foreign students. Another event of this kind was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was held within the framework of the state program "Рухани жаңғыру".

Foreign students studying at the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners traditionally take an active part in the annual student conference. The 2020-2021 academic year, despite the difficulties of teaching Kazakh and Russian as foreign languages in an online format, was no exception.On April 7, under the guidance of the teachers of the department, the breakout sessions of the XXVII International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Students in Science - the intellectual potential of the future", held within the framework of the VIII International Farabi Readings, were held.

The Department of Language and General Education Training of foreigners holds open educational events, where foreign students learn about our country: about the main stages of history, culture, art, outstanding personalities, about everything that the state lives by and what may be interesting to students studying Kazakh and Russian languages. This year, all such events take on a special shade, as they are held under the sign of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. "State symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan" - under this name, another educational faculty event was held, organized by the curators and leaders of the clubs "Kazakh Studies" and "Sayakhat". Students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the history of the Coat of Arms, Flag and Anthem of our country. The presentation shown to the audience vividly illustrated the teachers ' story.

Teachers of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners traditionally conduct educational events, which are aimed at familiarizing students with the history and culture of the country. In the year of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, such events are of particular importance. Curators-advisors together with the heads of clubs for educational work held a round table of the faculty level "Uly Adamdar Olkesi" ("The land of great people») with students studying the Kazakh language. During the presentation, the mentors told about the great people who made an invaluable contribution to the culture, science, and the formation of Kazakhstan as an independent state. Students with great interest learned the names that the people of Kazakhstan are proud of, and also shared their knowledge on the topic.

The curators-advisors of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of pre-university  continued their planned educational activities in the second semester. The next curatorial hour was devoted to the topic "Our interests and hobbies". The students were very happy to talk about their hobbies and how they spend their free time. I would like to note that today's youth is fond of various sports and enthusiastically engaged in physical education.

Musical Festival   was organized    on 24.01.2021 by Teachout Woden, a well-known Professor of Union Institute & University (UI&U), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. The University of Cincinnati (UI&U) is a private research University located in the city of Cincinnati, Ohio State, USA. It is part of the Ohio state University system and the oldest institution of higher education in Cincinnati.

The goal is to introduce the international audience to the musical flavor of the Kazakh dombra and the American guitar, accompanied by songs of the peoples of the world.

The guests of the poetry reading were teachers of al-Farabi Kazakh National University, M.Auezov South Kazakhstani State University and students from the USA, China, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

The musical event was held with an interesting discussion and analysis of music sounds of Kazakh Dombra and American Guitar by songs complying in Kazakh, Afghan and English languages.
