On March 18, 2022, in the Faculty of Pre-University Education of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held meeting representative of the educational direction of NJSC "Otandastar Kory" Enlik Berdirakhmanova with students of the diaspora. At the meeting, joint work was discussed, as well as topical issues and projects for the future, which will be implemented with NJSC "Otandarstar kory" and the international youth organization "Zhas kazak". This event was organized and held by the Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Pre-University Education Amirkanov Marat and Tileuberdi Yerbol. A representative of the Kazakh diaspora from Japan, Zhadyra Senbi, shared her experience and vivid memories of achieving the goal and excellent results. Students from China, Mongolia, Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, studying at the preparatory course of the faculty, found answers to their questions, and completed the event with a small concert program for the guests.

Teachers of the Faculty of Pre-University Education, the Department of Pre-University Training Amangeldy Nurgul and Abdukerim Rauza received a certificate from the Swiss School of Applied Sciences for Management of Economics and Management.

For the past 2 years, the whole world has been suffering from a pandemic. But, despite this, foreign students continue to come to study Russian and Kazakh languages ​​at the Department of Language and General Educational Training of the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
 In the classroom, teachers not only teach languages, but also try to tell more about the culture and history of Kazakhstan. Students will learn about Kazakh scientists, astronauts, poets, writers, musicians. On January 27, 2022, the curators of the department prepared and held a round table online, which was called "Young geniuses glorifying their country." At this event, with the help of a slide show, the curators spoke about the young talents of Kazakhstan, and foreign students from Turkey spoke about the talented children of their homeland.

Traditionally, at the beginning of December, an open Day is held at the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners as part of the "Festival of Languages and Cultures". This is an educational event of international level. This year the event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was held in an online format. In addition to students and teachers of the Department, the Open Day was attended by official guests: Director of the Department of International Cooperation of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Yerkezhan Apsemetova, Director of the Internationalization and Recruiting Council of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Arslan Mehmet, Consul of Science, Technology and Education of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Almaty Zhang Wei, representative of the Japanese University of Tsukuba, (Tsukuba) Takeshi Ninomiya. A friendly warm greeting was received in Kazakh from a student of the Moscow Linguistic University. The students currently teaching at the department demonstrated their talents by reading poems and singing songs.

The festival "Great Ascetics of the Russian land" in Kazakhstan

From November 2 to December 10, 2021, the Festival "Great Ascetics of the Russian Land" was held in schools and universities of Kazakhstan. The festival was organized by the TSU named after G.R. Derzhavin (Russian Federation) within the framework of the project "Through Language to the origins of the Russian soul", supported by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.

Within the framework of international cooperation between Al-Farabi KazNU, Faculty of Pre-University Education, Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreign Students and G.R. Derzhavin TSU, Head of the Department Sadenova A.E., Associate Professors Darkembayeva R.D., Ozekbayeva N.A. with foreign students of PG-8 groups Li Sie, Wang Qifei, Erbol Dinar, Furkan Mustafa, PG -4 Nuretdin Azamat, Ahmadi Basira took part online in the international festival "Great Ascetics Russian lands" in Kazakhstan.

More than 400 students and schoolchildren from 13 countries took part in the Festival, including children and youth of Kazakhstan participated in creative and intellectual competitions. The festival was held in two stages. The first stage was held in an online format from November 2 to November 21, 2021. The second stage was held in a mixed format (full-time and remote) from December 7 to December 10, 2021. Schoolchildren and students from Kazakhstan got acquainted with Russian literature and culture. The Festival ended on December 10, 2021 with a Gala concert. The participants acquired new knowledge and competencies.

On the online platform ZOOM, a video tour was held on the theme "The Golden Man (Altyn Adam) - the cornerstone of our history", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our independence. The purpose of this event is to acquaint students with the lessons learned from the history of ancient Kazakhstan, to develop them scientifically and socio-culturally, and also to promote our own history.

           With the help of the researchers of the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve "Issyk" Zh. Kurbanali and E. Aitkulov, the exhibits of the museum were presented to the audience one by one, through the camera. In particular, there was a wide presentation of  The Golden Man (Altyn Adam) and the artifacts found with him. The event was attended by more than 60 listeners from Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, Iran, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan. The event achieved its goal and was held at a high level.

The Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners of the Faculty of Pre-University Education of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an international scientific and methodological seminar "The Kazakh language in the modern world", dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which was held on November 12, 2021 in an online format.

The following issues were discussed during the seminar:

1. Modern pedagogical technologies and innovations in teaching Kazakh as a foreign language.

2. Distance learning of the Kazakh language as a foreign language is an innovative form of organizing the educational process.

3. Structure and content of aspect disciplines in teaching the Kazakh language to foreign students.

4. Methodological manuals and textbooks in the direction of teaching Kazakh as a foreign language.

The Kazakh teachers of higher educational institutions, and also the colleagues teaching abroad Kazakh as foreign or second language participated in this action. In particular, linguists from the Moscow State Linguistic University, Kyrgyz National University named after Zh.Balasagyn, University of Tsukuba (Japan), Kyrgyz-Turkish University "Manas" (Bishkek), Institute for the Study of the Turkic World. (Izmir, Turkey). And also the head of the Center for the development of languages and the transition to the Latin script of the Akim's Office of Almaty Kalymbet B.A., Director of the Department of International Cooperation of al-Farabi KazNU Apsemetova E.A., head of the methodical work service Amirbekova G.E.

Raising a healthy generation is one of the most important tasks of today. Clean and fresh air and frequent visits to picturesque corners of nature benefit health and good mood. November 7, 2021 listeners of the group 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 15, 16, 17 and curators: Muzhigova G. M., Dautova Zh. K., Nusupbaeva S. A., shop R., Ashirbekova K. S., Zhumadil G., Isaeva N.T. of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Faculty of Pre-University Education made an excursion to the Medeu ice rink. In the Medeu sports complex, the listeners of the group skated on ice, overcame the 800-step staircase, enjoyed the picturesque nature of Medeu and had fun. The purpose of this campaign: to acquaint listeners with the history of Medeu, to introduce listeners to sports, to lead a healthy lifestyle, to tell about the 150 best sports records in the world, about the history of many domestic films and about the international song contest "Asia Dauysy" which was held in this a historical place.
