     The main focus of the department is the language and general education training of foreigners, depending on the objectives of training. During the first year of study, students receive basic knowledge of the grammar of the Kazakh and Russian languages, studying the following courses: practical Kazakh and Russian languages, language adaptation, audiovisual course, regional studies, history and culture of Kazakhstan.

     In the second year of study, in addition to the practical course of Kazakh or Russian languages of the advanced level, such subjects as “Language of the Media”, “Intercultural Communication” and “Scientific Style of Speech” are studied.

     The students take exams twice a year, and according to their results they receive a state-approved certificate, which makes it possible to enter higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan.

     To continue studying with us in the Al Farabi Kazakh National University, it is enough to pass with positive results the final testing in our department and the interview conducted by the university's admissions committee.

     We have extensive experience working with foreign nationals from different countries. We can teach you to understand and speak the language you have chosen. At the next stage, you will be able to continue your studies at the university.
