12.10.2022 at 15:00, in accordance with the plan of conducting methodological seminars, the teacher of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Duisenbay Kulpynai held a seminar on the topic: Methods and requirements for writing textbooks in Chinese: based on experience of Beijing Language and Culture University. The seminar was devoted to the lack of domestic textbooks for Chinese lesson(by levels of proficiency) for university students.  Since the most of textbooks that we use were published by various Chinese publishing houses, such as: "新实用汉语课本" and "HSK1-6 Standard Course" published by Beijing Language and Culture University. Although they have been recognized for a long time for their quality, practicality, and conformity to the requirements of the times, they are in great demand around the world, but they do not conform to our national characteristics.  It was emphasized at the seminar that this issue was raised not only globally, but also by institutions engaged in teaching Chinese as a foreign language and authors of special textbooks in China.  In this case, Duysenbay pointed out what problems should be paid attention to in the process of compiling textbooks. When analyzing the textbooks published so far, she pointed out the difficulties she encountered in compiling the first textbook "Modern Chinese Canonical Grammar"  , and also put forward specific examples of the deficiencies in the compilation of existing domestic Chinese textbooks. Seminars are held at a high level and very helpful to teachers.
