HISTORY OF CREATION OF LEGAL CLINIC OF KAZAN

 Stage 1: 1993 - for the first time in Kazakhstan, a student legal clinic was established

as a practice base for students of the law faculty of KazNU;

 Stage 2: 2004 - the year - the resumption of the student legal clinic

with the assistance of EFCA (Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia) Kazakhstan as a stage in the implementation of the program for legal assistance to socially vulnerable groups of the population;

 Stage 3 - the present period.

 At present, the director of the clinic is Zhatkanbaeva Aizhan Erzhanovna, Doctor of Law.

 Over the years of the clinic's existence, a fairly stable structure has developed: the director of the clinic, the head of the clinic, attracted teachers and students.

CLINIC is a member of the non-governmental system of free legal aid. created on the basis of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the aim of legal assistance and legal education of the population and the formation of students in the legal specialty skills in providing legal assistance.

Our clinic is a social project, which is a form of training students in practical professional skills in the field of jurisprudence, associated with the provision of legal advice to persons who require qualified legal assistance.

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION

 MISSION OF THE CLINIC

      contribute to the protection of human rights;

      introduce social justice education in legal education;

      to educate law students through training in professional skills, a sense of social responsibility and integrity;

      provide legal assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population;

      assist in the prevention of corruption through the eradication of legal illiteracy.

KEY CLINIC PROJECTS

Legal assistance to children without parental guardians (orphanages, the Center for adaptation and support of graduates of social institutions in Almaty)
 
The student clinic performs various functions. However, it is possible to single out the most significant, first of all, the practical application of theoretical knowledge obtained by students at the university. And on the other hand, this is a real opportunity to solve life situations faced by old people, children, single mothers, and people with disabilities. The confrontation with reality for many students who have grown up in a favorable environment is a psychological blow. But, such inevitability leads to the fact that young people inevitably develop in themselves compassion for others, the desire to help them in current life situations.
