On April 15, 2020, a video conference "Modernization of public administration in the EEU countries" was held, which brought together scientists, experts and journalists from Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova. During the videoconference, issues of information and communication technologies in public administration, administrative reforms in the post-Soviet space, as well as the role of the third sector in the modernization of public administration were discussed. The thesis was voiced that the exchange of experience allows the academic and expert community to find the most optimal models of public administration, affects the effectiveness of the organization of the public administration system not only for the EEU member States, but also for States that are ready to cooperate.
The video conference was opened by Viktor Sapryka, head of the Department of social technologies and public service OF NRU "BelSU", who welcomed all participants of the video conference and thanked the experts who were ready to make presentations and share their opinions on the topic of modernization of public administration in the EEU countries.
Speech doctor of economic Sciences, Professor, head of Management Department of al-Farabi KazNU Turginbayeva A. was devoted to the analysis of the state of the third sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In it she told about problems of development of nongovernmental sector in the Republic of Kazakhstan and highlighted the main areas of activity of NGOs in Kazakhstan: support of youth policy and children's initiatives, support for socially vulnerable segments of the population and other social trends.
Experts from the Republic of Belarus Alexey Avdonin and Irina Novikova, from the Kyrgyz Republic - Asel Dzhailova, Bulgaria-Todor Galunov, Russia - Vladimir Slatinov, Armenia - Khachik Galstyan also spoke.
Associate Professor of the Department of theory and history of political science at Yerevan state UniversityGalstyan suggested holding an on-line discussion on "the Effectiveness of state and public administration in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic", which will be held on April 21, 2020 at 12:00 Moscow time.
