The meeting of graduates of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology was held online on the ZOOM platform. The department's staff attended the event, led by the head of the department, Zhunusbayeva Zhazira Kabulovna, graduates of the older generation and graduates of this 2020 academic year. The head of the department, Zhazira Kabulovna, made a welcoming speech about the 1150th anniversary of Al - Farabi, as well as a congratulatory speech - "Alumni Day". Further, the meeting participants were invited to watch a video appeal from the rector of the university Mutanov Galymkair Mutanovich. Also, a congratulatory speech to the graduates was addressed by the Alumni Association's president, a KazNMU 1981 Kairat Abdirazauly Mami graduate. Then at the event, a video was shown about the development and prospects of the department. A congratulatory line was handed over to the department graduate in 1975, candidate of biological sciences Kalimagambetov Aitkali Majitovich, graduates of 2000 Chunetova Zhanar Zhumabekovna, Altynova Nazym Kalikhanovna and other graduates who are currently achieving high results in science. The pride of the department, a 2007 graduate and deputy director of the Almaty city branch of the National Center for Biotechnology Yuri Skiba, who participated in developing test systems in the fight against COVID-19, also shared a congratulatory speech and thanked the teachers. And also we received congratulatory videos of our graduates who improved their knowledge in different parts of the world and our country. Even though the annual festive event was held this year in an online format, our graduates expressed their good wishes to each other, shared tips with the young generation, gave instructions and had a great time.
