Comprehensive examination in the PhD doctoral program in the specialty "6D090200-Tourism"

Approved by the order, the State Commission of teachers of the Department of Recreational Geography and Tourism of the Faculty of Geography and Nature Management, chaired by the Candidate of Geographical Sciences Victoria S. Krylova (JSC "Institute of Geography and Water Safety", Almaty), held a comprehensive examination in the doctoral program PhD in the specialty "6D090200 – Tourism"on 05.02.2021 from 10:00 to 12:00. The comprehensive exam was conducted according to the academic calendar and the working curriculum of the specialty "6D090200 – Tourism" as a special form of final certification for the 3rd year in the 6th semester of the PhD doctoral program. The purpose of the comprehensive exam is to assess the level of development of the doctoral students 'competencies of the educational program of the specialty" 6D090200-Tourism " and the requirements of the state educational standard.

The oral exam was conducted in the form of a video conference according to the instructions of the Methodological Department and the Institute of New Educational Technologies (INOT) of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The tickets were generated using the "ticket generation" module of the official information and training system "Univer" (the system developer is the Institute of Information Technologies and Innovative Development of Al – Farabi Kazakh National University).

During the exam, PhD students Batbaatar Zayakhuu (Mongolia) and Akmaral Zhenisbaevna Sapieva (Kazakhstan) demonstrated fundamental scientific training, a high level of knowledge of modern research methods and information technologies (methods and technologies for obtaining, processing and storing scientific information). They proved that they are able to organize and perform both research work in the field of tourism, and effectively perform the functions of a teacher of a higher school of the highest qualification. The Commission was convinced that the doctoral students have a reliable baggage of professional knowledge and a creative style of thinking.
