Publishing-editing and design art department under the leadership of Doctor of Philosophy, prof. A. Ramazan is actively introducing interactive forms of education in the new teaching environment. So, on January 29, 2021, the Zoom platform hosted the first online master class for future editors, publishers and designers. A well-known publicist, journalist Bakhtiyar Tokhtakhunov, editor-in-chief of the republican "Yuridicheskaya Gazeta" held a master class. The meeting went very well, the guest answered to all questions and gave advice, revealed secrets of becoming master in the field of journalism.

Here are some feedbacks from students: “A talented specialist with a good professional approach, I really liked the attitude towards novice editors and journalists. This is really rare now, strict requirements are imposed almost everywhere at once). And he is ready to teach, support and send in the right direction ”(Marina Buravova). “Purposeful, promising, demanding. I liked his approach to work, observance of subordination. The meeting was held at a high level. The information is available for digestion and motivational for many students. Thank you for organizing such a master class” (Galiya Toremuratova).

“The guest made a vivid impression with openness and goodwill. I learned about the real side of the workflow in the editorial office. All questions were correctly covered. I would like to thank you for taking time to meet with us, on a tight schedule”(Dayana Darbaeva). Our colleagues also liked the event, by the way, the entrance via the link was not limited.

A little about the publication itself, because it is unique. The initiator of the creation of "Yuridicheskaya Gazeta" with the formation of sovereign Kazakhstan was the Minister of Justice of the republic Nagashbai Shaikenov. The first issue was released on November 3, 1994. Since July 2019, the chief editor of the newspaper has been Bakhtiyar Tokhtakhunov, thanks to his team, the appearance of the publication and the content has changed, the newspaper is received even in remote regions. The Yug website is also very popular. Through online meetings, our students get to know media people and learn to conduct a dialogue on an equal footing.

We decided to share an example from the practice of university teaching, which in reality, in the context of a pandemic - thanks to online classes with the invitation of media professionals-practitioners - is acquiring the format of dual education. The master class has firmly established itself in our syllabuses. As if  “two fragrances in one bottle”, we joke, - both theory and practice complement each other in order to effectively help students to immerse themselves in the realities of complex editorial work. The recording of the event will serve as a teaching aid, students have already copied it.
